Recycled Bird Bath

Everyone loves mosaics but the process is time consuming and therefore costly for a store buying wholesale then selling retail. A cute shop in San Luis Obispo dealing in everything one needed if one loved birds wanted to carry mosaic birdbaths, but the price was too high for a piece covered in tile. I saw they carred a commercial cement birdbath that had simple and modern lines with a shallow 12" bowl recessed in a cement square. The bowl shape was perfect for just a touch of mosaic work which added color and interest to the clean lines of the sculptural birdbath. The price was affordable and of course, each piece was a unique, one of a kind work of art.
